Azzurra 36: Construction begins on first full-custom Tureddi superyacht

20 November 2025 • Written by Emily Dawkins

Italian builder Tureddi Yachts has announced that construction has begun on the first full-custom superyacht from its brand, the Azzurra 36. The occasion was marked with a traditional coin ceremony at its facilities in Pisa, following news that the yacht was sold in August by Worth Avenue Yachts. Delivery for the 36-metre build is scheduled for Summer 2027.

Italian designer Giamboi Design has penned the exterior design of the new build, which will be constructed in steel and aluminium.

The yacht's interior designer has also now been revealed, with Italian design studio Pininfarina chosen for the vessel's soon-to-be-revealed interiors – said to offer flexibility and customisation with spacious, light-filled areas spread across four decks.

Other details remain confidential, but the 36-metre is said to offer an onboard arrangement that "prioritises generous living spaces and exceptional onboard comfort". "Elegant design and dynamic functionality" are also highlighted for the yacht's design, with emphasis going to her wide beam, generous volume and high-level specification. Accommodation is for up to 12 guests and eight crew.

“We want to work together with Alessandro’s team, Pininfarina, Giamboi and Ruggiero to create something absolutely special — a new benchmark for Tureddi. We are on this journey together," said the new build's owner. "The 36-metre is just the beginning; perhaps we will build something even bigger together in the very near future."

“I would like to thank the owner for his trust,” Tureddi Yachts' president, Alessandro Tureddi, commented. “The Azzurra 36 is the first full-custom yacht sold under the Tureddi name, symbolising our evolution from over 40 years as a trusted manufacturer to a builder of bespoke superyachts — and marking our entrance among the leading players in the industry.”

This construction milestone marks a significant landmark for the Italian shipbuilder in its evolution into an independent yacht builder under its own name.

“Azzurra represents the essence of our philosophy – a blend of tradition, innovation and family values,” added Luciano Aglioni, Tureddi Yachts' sales director. “This project embodies our passion for fine craftsmanship and the ambition to create yachts that truly express the spirit of Italian excellence.”

The yard unveiled two new models to its portfolio earlier this year, with both new designs exclusively for sale.
