Turquoise Superyacht Ice 5 to Begin "Complete" Refit at Bilgin

7 January 2020

The 42.62 metre Turquoise-built superyacht Ice 5 is due to begin a “complete refit” at Bilgin Yachts in Istanbul.

The yacht is set to arrive at the yard later this month and is currently being transported there from Port Everglade in Florida.

Constructed from an aluminium hull and superstructure, Ice 5 is owned by the new owner of Snow 5, previously known as Lilium. Ice 5 is due to be relaunched in spring 2020.

Designed by Paolo Caliari with an interior penned by Jean-Guy VergesIce 5 has accommodation for a total of 12 guests in six cabins, comprising a master, two VIPs, two doubles and a twin cabin.

Built in 2002, Ice 5 was last refitted in 2017 and has a 12 knot cruising speed, 22 knot top speed and range of 2,700 nautical miles.

It comes after Snow 5, which was sold during the 2019 Monaco Yacht Show, was loaded onto a cargo ship to be transported to Miami for delivery to her new owner.

Bilgin currently has three hulls in the 80 metre Bilgin 263 series under construction, with the first hull available for delivery in the first half of 2020.
