Dutch studio Vripack has unveiled new renderings of its 88 metre concept Utopia at Sea, which boasts an on-board park among other features.

With a design that revolves around a reduced environmental impact, the concept features four air purifying units that work to reduce the CO2 produced by incinerators.

“We connected our award-winning diesel-electric propulsion system for nature-inspired air purifying units and visibly attached the entire system to an on-board park providing it with clean air,” said Robin de Vries, senior designer at Vripack.

“All being monitored from an on-board control room allows researchers to observe its operations, while visitors engage with the park and its connection with technology.”

The green spaces are one of the highlights of Utopia at Sea. The concept is home to a large garden, with a skylight that looks down into a monitoring station and up into the tender deck.

The yacht will be able to accommodate 15 guests in total with a crew of 14. Amenities include a large helideck on the aft, with tender storage and a crane amidships that can double as a mini basketball court.

Generous overhang from the decks creates a number of inviting living spaces, including a sundeck jacuzzi and a main deck pool with optional shading.

The yacht will have a fuel capacity of 200,000 litres and a freshwater capacity of 80,000 litres.

It comes after Vripack revealed its 45 metre shallow-draft yacht concept Krista in March.
