Wayne Parker Design reveals W57 Speedster superyacht concept

7 May 2021 • Written by Ria Wolstenholme

Design studio Wayne Parker design has presented a 57 metre superyacht concept named the W57 Speedster.

The project was developed with a client in mind looking for an advanced interior layout within a 57 metre footprint.

As a result, the design features “a layout that puts the comfort of guests first”, studio director and founder Wayne Parker said.

Features include a gym, massage room, beach club, swimming pool and enough storage for plenty of toys and tenders.

Accommodation is for a total of 12 guests in five guest staterooms and a full beam master cabin. The crew areas for a total staff of 13 have also been carefully considered and include a galley, pantry, storage and dedicated crew mess.

Ease of access is a running theme throughout the design, with a staircase leading guests from the main saloon to the lower deck to port of the swimming pool.

There is also a staircase connecting the sun deck to the bridge deck. The structure is concealed within the body of the superstructure aft of the dining area on the bridge deck.

Wellness and relaxation in the form of a gym and massage room enables guests to access the beach club directly from the wellness space, which features fold-down platforms so they can enjoy a massage whilst enjoying the sea air and sound of the waves.

Al fresco experiences don’t stop on the beach club either, as the sundeck includes a dining table with space for up to 12 guests under a canopy.

A jacuzzi and large sunbed area are found forward from the dining area and if guests are more inclined to get active or party while on board, a large open area aft of this deck can be cleared to be used as a dance floor or outdoor activities such as yoga or workouts.

“This design is all about getting outdoors,” said Parker. “It is a design that caters to two different age groups – young kids and their parents. It allows both parties to enjoy the yacht fully at the same time.”
