Excitement is building ahead of the inaugural Between the Bays event, which is scheduled to take place next spring (March 9-12). Inviting yacht owners and their guests to enjoy two of Belmond’s finest hotels – Anguilla’s Cap Juluca and St Martin’s La Samanna – the four-day itinerary promises a first-class line up of activities both on and off the water.
Day One
Arrival
Between the Bays will get under way in Anguilla with guests arriving to see the spectacular sands of Maundays Bay at Cap Juluca, a Belmond Hotel.
Welcome dinner
In the evening, owners and their guests will enjoy a Peruvian dining experience at a private pavilion overlooking Maundays Bay. The Belmond hotel is home to the only Peruvian restaurant on the island and the South American culinary delicacies will be perfectly complemented by drinks and live music.
Day Two
Adventure day and beach luncheon
The second day gives attendees the chance to discover why Anguilla is considered one of the Caribbean’s most sought-after cruising destinations. Guests will take part in an island adventure with each yacht working together to decipher hints, enjoy activities and find hidden treasure around the island. The hints and activities will celebrate Anguilla’s history and culture and give an insight into the varied activities it has to offer visitors. Guests will then enjoy beach games and a Belmond Beach pop-up luncheon in Crocus Bay at one of Anguilla’s most picturesque white-sand beaches – the perfect place to sample a traditional rum punch.
Evening cocktails with Feadship
After the action-packed day, guests will be welcomed back to the comfort of Cap Juluca to enjoy an early evening cocktail, with premium partner Feadship, and watch the sunset over one of world’s best beaches.
Day Three
Cruise in company
The following morning participating yachts will enjoy a cruise in company to the neighbouring island of St Martin, home to the world-renowned Belmond, La Samanna. Photographers will be on hand to capture the Between the Bays fleet underway on a cruise across the Anguillan channel.
Cocktail competition
On arrival at St Martin guests are invited on a yacht hop, which will include a cocktail competition. Each yacht’s interior crew will put their mixologist skills to the test with guests invited to sample, and mark, the creations in a friendly competition.
Closing beach party
After the yacht hop guests can then prepare for the closing party, which will be held on La Samanna’s secluded beach. In keeping with the island’s heritage guests will be treated to French delicacies while enjoying live music and the beautiful sunset across the bay.
Day Four
Farewell brunch
To close the event, owners and their guests are invited to a farewell brunch hosted in one of La Samanna’s private villas set at the top of the resort. Diners can sit back and enjoy the spectacular views of this pristine corner of the Caribbean while sipping on mimosas and feasting on exquisite dishes.
