5 reasons to purchase Jade Yachts Smiling T

1/5

Her deceptively large volume

A beautiful and sturdy pocket explorer yacht, the 28.2 metre  Smiling T is currently offered for sale at Ocean Independence. Discover some of her key highlights that make her such a desirable superyacht…

Despite being a 28 metre yacht, she boasts the volume and layout of a fully equipped 35 metre. Her Schnaase Design interiors are contemporary in style and feature a huge array of amenities.

She can sleep up to nine guests in four cabins – which includes an elegant master cabin complete with desk, dressing rooms and lounge area – and has accommodation for four crew members.

Her spacious main saloon features an eight-seater sofa (with an adjustable seat to host for up to ten people), 3D television and an elegant dining area, while her skylounge boasts large windows for excellent views, small library and a cocktail bar. Either offer ideal spaces for morning coffees or post-dinner cocktails. Versatile by design, one of her guest cabins can also serve as a gym space, thanks to the two fold-away twin beds.

She also has a full sundeck complete with Jacuzzi, cocktail bar, sunpads and dining area, making this the perfect space for sumptuous lunches under the sun or sundowners with friends and family. Loungers can be found on the upper deck aft, while an additional al fresco dining area sits on the main deck aft, just steps away from a generous swim platform.

Her proven seaworthiness

As proven by her sistership, which cruises across the Pacific, regularly travelling back and forth between Taiwan and the Philippines, Smiling T is very seaworthy.

Twin 1,084hp MAN V12 engines give her a maximum range of 3,000 nautical miles, a cruising speed of ten knots and a maximum speed of 12.5 knots, while her zero speed stabilisers allows for extremely smooth cruising, even in rough waters. This means that her 35,000 litre fuel capacity is more than enough to whisk you away across the Atlantic Ocean.

3/5

Her Northern European build quality

Boasting a high quality steel hull, aluminium superstructure and teak decks, she features naval architecture developed by Vripack and exterior lines by Espinosa Yacht Design. As a result, she features state-of-the art navigation and communication equipment on board.

While Smiling T was delivered by Jade Yachts in 2012, she has been kept in an immaculate condition by her fantastic crew. Below deck, her furnishings are modern and in an as-new condition, which is mirrored above deck in the efficient and innovative layout, as well as the styling.

4/5

Smiling T is fully classed

As the only yacht in the series that is fully Bureau Veritas classed, she has been built to a particularly demanding standard, with extra equipment added to bring her to the highest levels of safety and functionality.

Unlike the rest of the yachts in this series, she features some minor yet massively effective changes to her hull as detailed in her stability booklet.

She has recently completed 5-year class survey and is ready to go

In February 2018 she completed a five-year class survey, so she is ready and waiting to start her next great adventure as soon as possible. In preparation for the survey, her winter works included an inspection of all hydraulic systems, servicing to the engines, generators, life rafts, extinguishers and rudders, a new paint job on the ballast tanks, a full clean of the fresh water tanks and checks throughout, among other operations.

Smiling T is currently lying in Sanremo, Italy, and has an asking price of €5,950,000. If you're yearning for exploration and globetrotting in the height of luxury, she may just be the superyacht for you. Contact Ocean Independence for more information.
