Kershaw joins the Seattle-based shipyard with 14 years of experience in the superyacht sector. He initially served as crew before spending the last decade in sales and marketing roles.

According to Delta Marine, Kershaw is an "affable Kiwi well known among brokers, owners and industry professionals", and brings deep market knowledge, a strong network and a legal background to help guide prospective owners through complex new-build transactions.

As director of sales, Kershaw welcomes the yachting community to visit the shipyard and step on board their latest projects. He will divide his time between markets in the US, Mexico and Europe, maintaining close contact with owners, family offices and brokerage firms.

Michelle Jones, vice president of Delta Marine, said of the appointment: “This is a dynamic moment for Delta, with significant new projects underway and growing interest from experienced owners. Tim’s market knowledge and hands-on background give him exactly the perspective we want at the front of our new build conversations.”

The appointment comes at a critical time for the shipyard, which currently has two in-build projects underway: the 47.5-metre Project Discovery and the 46.3-metre yacht Project Zembra
