How to stay safe at sea

With the images of the fire on board (and subsequent sinking of) Aria SF, the 45 metre ISA motor yacht on her maiden voyage in Ibiza still fresh in mind, it’s a timely reminder that dangerous situations can arise at sea, no matter if you are mid-way through an Atlantic crossing with just a barebones crew, or your yacht has just been delivered with the sheets barely slept on and the toys still under wraps in the tender garage.
