With its extra-long season, blissful beaches and show-stopping food, chartering in Greece remains one of the most reliably great options. From the emerald waters of the Ionian to the dramatic islands of the Aegean, Greece offers an exceptional variety of cruising grounds, each with its own character. O'Ptasia
Stats: 85m, Golden Yachts, 2018 (2024), 12 guests, 29 crew
Highlights: With an impressive length of 85 metres and a hefty 2,342GT of volume, O’Ptasia was built with chartering in mind. Accommodation is for 12 guests in 10 cabins, and there is plenty to keep everyone entertained, from an enormous beach club, spa and wellness centre on the lower deck to a large pool and gym on the bridge deck, as well as sunbathing areas on all aft decks and a touch-and-go helipad that can be turned into a foredeck games area or observation platform. Italian-based designer Giorgio Vafiadis of Studio Vafiadis styled a contemporary interior with Art Deco influences for the Greek shipyard, including both a guest lift and a magnificent staircase. This yacht knows how to entertain, from pizza parties on the sundeck to cocktail parties in the beach club.
O’Ptasia is available for charter with Fraser Yachts Greece with a weekly rate from €950,000.
Lady Vera
Stats: 73.5m, Nobiskrug, 2011 (2023), 12 guests, 16 crew
Highlights: Delivered in 2011 by the renowned German shipyard Nobiskrug and extensively refitted in 2023, Lady Vera is one of the finest examples of the Greek charter fleet. Her crisp white profile, sculptural lines and generous 1,585GT of interior volume make a statement on the water – particularly when paired with an all-new beach club, fine art collection and refreshed interiors. Designed by Newcruise, Lady Vera’s powerful lines are defined by a distinctive dip in the superstructure. Her sheer scale is impressive: four decks, a helipad, a vast aft deck for entertaining and a wealth of indoor-outdoor lounging areas.
Accommodation includes a master suite on the main deck with his-and-hers bathrooms, a walk-in wardrobe and a private office with an additional en suite and sofa bed. Five further double cabins – two of which are convertible – are spread across the lower and upper decks, all offering a peaceful retreat after a day in the sun.
Lady Vera is available for charter with Parsifal Yachting with a weekly rate from €780,000.
Kogo
Stats: 71.7m, 2006 (2025), Alstom Leroux Naval, 12 guests, 21 crew
Highlights: When she was delivered 20 years ago by the commercially orientated Alstom Leroux Naval in Lorient on the Biscay coast of France, Kogo was remarkably ahead of her time. The 71.7-metre yacht was one of the first yachts to employ two Azipods, coupled with a diesel-electric drive, allowing for exceptional manoeuvrability and efficiency. For yachts that go to the far reaches of the planet, this is a great attribute. Today, she spends much of her time cruising (and turning heads) in the Aegean.
Following Kogo's 2025 refit, the feel on board is bright and calm with a natural colour scheme, lots of wooden accents and the same hint of Japanese tone. There is a tactile range of textures on board the yacht for charter, as well as a range of leathers and skins. Central to the design is the large staircase, which spirals up to the bridge and pool decks. Here, the industrial-style rod-and-post bannisters have leather-wrapped handrails.
Kogo is available for charter with Burgess with a weekly rate from €595,000.
Aelia
Stats: 56m, 2015 (2024), Benetti, 12 guests, 15 crew
Highlights: This year, during the Mediterranean Yacht Show in Nafplio, Aelia was one of the stars of the show. Not only does she offer one of the best selections of water toys, but her interiors are also bright and elegant, with lots of wood and intricate marble detailing. The main saloon is open-plan, with a large circular dining table forward of the seating area and a bar aft. Above, there is a further circular dining table in the skylounge. Other onboard highlights include a massage room, gym and a cinema. Accommodation on board is provided for a party of 12 guests in eight cabins, including two master cabins on the upper deck, easily accessible via a lift serving all decks.
Aelia is available for charter with IYC with a weekly rate from €340,000.
Geco
Stats: 55.2 metres, Admiral, 2020, 12 guests, 13 crew
Highlights: Geco's distinctive exterior is not the only thing that sets her apart from the crowd, as her packed toybox offers plenty of unique opportunities for experiences above and below the surface. This season in Greece, guests indulge in all the water sports they could imagine, with waterskiing, kitesurfing, wakeboarding, paddleboarding, snorkelling and clear-bottomed kayaks on the menu. The yacht for charter's art-filled interiors offer equally exciting amenities, with a special “Buddha bar” for cocktails, an outdoor cinema and a beach club offering al fresco dining right next to the water.
Geco is available for charter with IYC with a weekly rate from €335,000.
La Pellegrina 1
Stats: 49.5m, 2012, Couach 12 guests, 10 crew
Highlights: With a gleaming gold hull that glitters in the sun, it’s difficult to imagine that La Pellegrina 1 has been around for more than 10 years. The charter yacht first hit the water in 2012, built by the French shipyard Couach, and is one of two 5000 Fly 2 models. Engineering-wise, the model was a great achievement for the yard and lists several impressive capabilities, including the ability to cross the Atlantic in 10 days, a top speed of 28 knots and a range of 4,000 nautical miles. Stepping on board, La Pellegrina 1’s golden hull is echoed in the golden hue that runs through the yacht, mainly due to sunlight that streams through the vast windows and bounces off the lacquered wooden ceiling panels in the main saloon. With several bars on board, the days can be spent out on the sundeck sipping on spicy margaritas, watching the rocky shores of Zakynthos pass by.
La Pellegrina 1 is available for charter with Istion Yachting with a weekly rate from €210,000.
Ouranos
Stats: 49.6, Admiral, 2016, 12 guests, 13 crew
Highlights: Since her delivery in 2016, 50-metre Ouranos has spent her days weaving around the Aegean Sea, actively making her mark as a chief charter yacht in Greek waters. Her striking exterior is punctuated with six forward rectangular windows and vast feature windows amidships that span over two decks. When it comes to looking for a Greek charter, Ouranos is certainly a seasoned pro – spending almost all of her time exploring these waters since her delivery in 2016, while also visiting Turkey and other parts of the Eastern Med. Few crews on earth could provide the same details on the Greek shores as those on board Ouranos. Her collection of water toys is also highly impressive, with jet skis, Seabobs, Flyboards, e-foils and kayaks, among much else.
Ouranos is available for charter with IYC with a weekly rate from €225,000.
