Make tracks to Barcelona this week if you're in the market for a modern classic superyacht by Dutch shipyard Amels to see superyacht Secret Love.
William Molloy of IYR tells us that Secret Love, the elegant 36.5 metre motor yacht, will be available for open viewing this Friday and Saturday (17-18 October) during the city's boat show. She will be in berth C12 of Marina Port Vell. Viewing times are from 10am till 6pm.
Built at Amels' yard in Makkum, Holland, in 1990 but given a refit in 2006, the handsome motor yacht ticks all boxes for style, with clean lines that rake back to a traditional canoe stern. Interior decor by Struik & Hamerslag continues in similar style – maple wood joinery nods to Art Deco design yet the yacht is fitted with all mod cons. A full-width salon and dining area extends across the 7.7 metre beam and there's accommodation for eight guests in two doubles and two twins, all en suite.
For al fresco entertainment, there's aft space on the upper deck plus a flybridge jacuzzi which pulls off the neat trick of combining great views and privacy. The spec list is packed with toys, including a Yamaha waverunner, waterskis and scuba gear – handy when a draft of only 2.65 metres allows this yacht to slip into quiet, shallow coves and harbours. Equipped for comfort with modern stabilisers, she has a cruising speed of 10 knots and a top speed of 12 knots.
Secret Love is priced at €3,950,000 and will remain in Barcelona all winter.
