Why charter Preference 19?
Standing now in great condition following a 2024 refit, the 36.4-metre angular-looking Tansu is a choice for those who want something a little different. Her contemporary styling allows her to stand out among the charter stock, but she also has a long list of attributes, including a mega-toy selection, bright interiors and expansive deck spaces.
With a shallow draught of 2.2 metres, this yacht for charter can reach quiet and hard-to-access anchorages that larger superyachts can’t reach. For the final weeks of the busy summer season, this will allow her to squeeze into quiet little nooks and secluded anchorages few other yachts can reach. Guests can also unwind in the sun on the dedicated “nap station” or enjoy an al fresco meal as the sun sets.
Preference 19 has also recently had new Trac electric zero-speed stabilisers fitted, keeping her steady and comfortable on charter. Her twin Caterpillar 1,300hp engines deliver a range of 1750 nautical miles at 12 knots.
Interior mood
From the outside, Preference 19's cool angular appearance may have you thinking her interiors would follow a similar utilitarian vibe. Step on board, however, and you'll find a bold beach-style interior that feels bright, laid-back and welcoming. The main saloon is bordered by large windows and filled with natural light. The open-plan space is divided between a relaxed lounge and a dining area, with a round table that seats eight.
There is a clean, uncluttered feeling to the interiors, with crisp interiors bathed in natural light and plenty of texture. In the guests cabins, light wooden floors and ceilings help to carry the beach house feel, while the portholes really give a sense of being on the water.
Accommodation-wise, there's room for 10 guests over five cabins via a main deck master suite and four guest cabins below, all with en suite bathroom facilities. Beds in the guest cabins consist of two doubles and two twins, with each twin featuring an optional Pullman berth.
Out on deck
Preference 19 is a perfect choice for families because of the deck space, where guests can hang out and take advantage of the multitude of water activities. The yacht is also perfect for those who wish to stay active on charter - days can begin with circuit training in the morning and end with basketball at the hoop in the afternoon. Preference 19 is not about interior volume but more about life on the water and living outside.
For alfresco dining, there is a table on the upper aft deck that can be shaded by awnings.The upper deck is home to oversized beanbags and daybeds to create a relaxing lounge area after long lunches and dinners.
Toys and wellness
The toybox on board Preference 19 can rival those found on 50-metre yachts, earning her the nickname of a “floating beach club.” SeaBobs, paddleboards, scuba diving gear, Jet Skis, fishing equipment and towable toys will keep watersport enthusiasts occupied, but Preference 19 also offers an impressive array of toys to enjoy while staying dry. These include a swimming platform with a golf tee area, marine-friendly fish food balls, a basketball court, and a plethora of gym equipment, including battle ropes, weights, yoga mats, and a punching bag for workout sessions with the resident personal trainer. A pair of electric Gocycles can also be added to the toy box for further on-shore exploration during charters.
The crew are particularly family-friendly and keen to get involved in itineraries and activities for children of all ages. There is also a personal trainer on board , so it won’t just be the children that burn up energy while they are on board.
