12 of the best superyacht honeymoon destinations

Capri, Italy

For the couple that wants a European hideaway

As well as all the hustle and bustle of a traditional Italian town, Capri offers the perfect honeymoon getaway. Anchor your luxury yacht at Marina Piccola, one of the best superyacht anchorages on the Amalfi coast, before going for a drive through the charming island town.

Grotto Azzurra (The Blue Grotto) is not to be missed — row through this stunning sea cave in the north western coastline on a private boat or go for a swim in the early evening after the boat tours have finished.

Tucked away on the eastern end of the south coast is the secluded Punta Tragara Hotel — winner of the 2016 World Boutique Hotel Award "Best Honeymoon Hideaway", it offers three eateries with astonishing views out to sea and over to Marina Piccola in addition to a luxurious spa with a range of restorative treatments, including a couples massage.

Borneo

For the couple looking to walk on the wild side

Last year superyachts were given the green light to visit Borneo, as North Borneo, East Coast Borneo and the South Philippines were declared “safe and peaceful”. The Lloyds Joint War Committee removed these regions as War Listed Areas meaning that it is now no longer necessary to acquire special permission to visit the region.

Perfect for a couple that love nature the region offers some incredible wildlife experiences both underwater and on land. Take a boat safari on the Kinabatangan River and spot orangutan, pigmy elephants and monkeys or swim with turtles in the waters off Sipadan. Complete your trip with a couple of nights on dry land in one of Borneo’s stunning rainforest lodges.

Borneo is one of most adventurous destinations to visit by superyacht and could provide an unforgettable experience.
