The shortlist for the World Superyacht Awards was announced today. Having received an overwhelming number of nominations, Boat International Media’s expert teams of editors have refined the nominees to an outstanding list of World Superyacht Awards finalists who now stand in contention to receive a coveted Neptune trophy.

In the remaining weeks before the Judges’ Meeting, which will take place at the YCCS Virgin Gorda Clubhouse on the first day of the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous, the Jury will be making personal visits to the finalist yachts to ensure that each contending vessel is inspected by at least one judge. In addition to the judges’ testimonies, comprehensive dossiers, including photographs and statements from the owners, builders and designers of each of the finalists, will guide the jury in their difficult task of selecting the winners.

The results of their deliberations will remain secret until the gala evening and prize giving on May 4th at the Çırağan Palace Kempinski in Istanbul, a former Ottoman palace bordering the Bosphorus.
