Top 8 interiors pieces from Maison et Objet Paris 2016

Fendi Casa

Maison et Objet, the touring luxury interior design fair that visits the world’s most stylish cities, has made its first stop for 2016 in Paris this week (January 22-26). Widely regarded as the place to spot the upcoming trends for the year ahead, 2016’s edition featured pieces from nearly 3,000 exhibitors, including some of the best ocean-inspired interior design pieces for your superyacht. If your tastes aren’t so literal, however, click through to see our pick of the best furniture, décor and accessories ideal for both home and yacht alike.

Fendi Casa

Luxurious but understated, Fendi Casa has long been a go-to for superyacht owners looking for both substance and style. For Maison et Objet Paris the Italian house showed the latest instalment of its collaboration with French architect Thierry Lemaire — irst seen at Salone del Mobile 2015 — along with strikingly modern pieces such as this Fleurette coffee table nest based on the abstract form of a flower.

Stefano Ricci

If bespoke is more your style then Florentine designer Stefano Ricci is the house to call on. Not content with creating some of the best luxury skiwear on the slopes this season, the interiors and fashion brand wowed at Maison et Objet Paris with its Royal Suite Collection and a stunning collaboration with historical silk mill Antico Setificio Fiorentino — all of which can be custom made for your yacht.

Lasvit

Whatever your interior design tastes, Lasvit has a light to match. Will it be the colourful candy Sphere collection by the Campana brothers (left) — based on colourful sweets found in Brazilian markets and the perfect centrepiece to bring fun to your formal dining room? Or perhaps the minimalist Das Pop designs by Maarten Baas (right) which exaggerate common light forms to comic proportions and are ideal for displaying your good taste to charter guests.

SolidNature

If traditional marble flooring just seems a little too clean and pristine for your floating vacation palace then turn to SolidNature for floor and wall materials that will really let you express yourself. Choose from semi-precious stones, including malachite set with gold inlay (pictured), blue agate and romantic pink quartz, or instead select your favourite from its extensive collection of onyx, travertine and rare, more unusual marble specimens.

¿Adónde?

Literally translated from Spanish ¿Adónde? means ‘where?’ and this clever design company does a great job of answering the question ‘where am I going to put everything in my less-than-huge yacht cabin?’ A stand out from Maison et Objet Paris were these colourful 3D shelves which feature a modular design meaning you can arrange them to suit any room regardless of size. Ideal for creating practical feature walls in guest bedrooms without splashing out on pricey art.

Ralph Lauren

If a tableware update is in order for 2016 then look no further than Ralph Lauren. The heritage American brand’s new Ascot and Audrey crockery ranges feature an elegant navy blue colour scheme with gold detailing ideal for dockside dinner parties from Monaco to the Maldives. Mix and match for the ultimate in laid-back cool.

Pratesi

No cabin is complete without the best linen and, from bed sheets and pillows to blankets and throws, Italian house Pratesi offers just that. Whether you prefer the cool hues of the simplistic Graffiti Three Lines, the delicate adornment of the Marrakesh range (pictured) or are just in need of some new towels for the beach club — Pratesi’s 2016 lines are not to be overlooked.

Richard Ginori

If you’re looking to make an impact with your charter yacht this season then a few well chosen decorative objet from Richard Ginori wouldn’t go amiss. Those heading to the Med should opt for vases and serving dishes from the Ancient Greek-influenced Catene and Labirinto collections while the Oriental vibe of the Voliere range will add a little femininity to explorer yachts heading further afield.
