9 April 2019 • Written by Zoe Dickens

Kicking off an exciting season of summer automotive events, London Concours returns to the British capital this June for a two-day garden party celebrating fine cars and luxury living.

Taking place in the tranquil oasis of the Honourable Artillery Company lawns from June 5-6, for 2019 London Concours will present more than 100 world class cars across a number of categories. First up, The Icons will include cars which have come to be synonymous with their generation, such as the McLaren F1 of the 1990s or the Aston Martin DB5 for the 60s. Think of this as a crash course in the world of classic cars with each model on display thoroughly earnings its place in the annals of motoring history.

Next The Innovators will bring together vehicles which led the way with new technologies on the race track or road. Think the first ground effect Formula One cars or the Bugatti EB110 - the first road car to make use of carbon fibre monocoque. Elsewhere The Outlaws will showcase classic modified cars, like the Ghost Outlaw 911 and Porsche 356 Outlaw, while Lost Marques will pay homage to the great automotive manufacturers of yesteryear such as Alvis, Panhard, Frazer-Nash and Bizzarrini.

Two special categories will recognise the great models to come from Ferrari and Jaguar, including the Ferrari LaFerrari and Jaguar C-Type, while the last will highlight the great motoring prowess of the German nation. Cars exhibited under this category are iconic designs as varied as a VW Beetle and a Porsche 930 Turbo LE. London Concours will also play host to a colourful display of Lamborghini Miuras, celebrating the world’s first true supercar and marking 50 years since it found fame in The Italian Job. Last year’s London Concours winner, the Beast of Turin, will also return for the 2019 event.

Away from the cars, a number of luxury amenities will be on offer to make your day that little bit more special. Breguet will be on hand to showcase some of its stunning timepieces while Mark Hix will be operating a 300-cover fine dining pop-up restaurant with champagne will provided by Veuve Clicquot. A private members' clubhouse will also be on offer for guests wishing to relax, refuel and make the most of what the show has to offer.
