For a whole week in May Via MonteNapoleone, the beating heart of Milan’s fashion and luxury quarter, becomes a refined marina, featuring exclusive nautical-themed previews, open-air retrospectives and signature purchases, all in a truly unique atmosphere.
MonteNapoleone Yacht Club, a celebration of the historic connections between the luxury and boat-building sectors, returns to the Italian fashion capital for a third year, from 15 to 21 May. The famous street will host the world’s best known shipyards and yacht clubs, presenting scale models of prestigious vessels, videos, photos and cutting-edge designs. Meanwhile, an exhibition entitled Germán Frers: a Life for Yacht Design, focuses on the famous Argentinian designer and features photographs and reproductions of original drawings on display for the first time in Italy.
The initiative, promoted by MonteNapoleone District, will also feature Unique, an event from 15 to 28 May in which jewellers offer customers one-of-a-kind items and ultra-complicated watches.
MonteNapoleone Yacht Club will be a big draw for international tourists, offering them an opportunity to experience true Italian excellence in fields ranging from hospitality to haute cuisine and the best of fashion and design. Also on offer will be a series of customised services such as priority tax-free purchases without queueing and other privileges, included in the voucher for accessing the exclusive MonteNapoleone VIP Lounge.
