On a windswept evening in Port Hercule last week, German sound specialists Loewe unveiled a record-breaking limited edition range of headphones on board the brand’s very own 55-metre Tankoa superyacht, Loewe.
The headphones, created in collaboration with New York luxury jeweller and watchmaker Jacob&Co, are embellished with a combination of rose gold, white diamonds and sapphires to create "a masterpiece of high jewellery audio".
Crafted by hand, each of the ten examples combine advanced noise cancellation technology with the latest in AI to create an immersive, ultra contemporary listening experience with detailed sound, high-resolution audio and adaptative active noise cancellation, which updates in real time to adjust to your nearby environment. Integrated AI works for voice assistance and translation services, while the headphones are kitted out with up to 65 hours of battery life.
The premium base materials are cut from anodised aluminium and leather for a lightweight, comfortable user experience, whilst the editions come in two colour and gemstone variants: Noir Rainbow, with a 14k rose gold ring and 15.97 carats of sapphires, which retails for €99,000, or Ice Diamond (€119,000), with its 12.47-carats of white diamonds set into 14k white gold on each earpiece.
Aboard the brand’s yacht last Wednesday to celebrate the launch? French football star and captain of the national team Kylian Mbappé, who was all smiles as he mingled with the other guests, including Victoria Silvstedt and Jeetendr Sehdev, enjoying cocktails and canapes across Loewe’s outdoor lounges and private terrace.
Designed by Italian studio Luca Dini and delivered in April of this year, Loewe is a T55 Sportiva model with six cabins, a waterline spa and a beach club, where the party’s DJ oversaw the soundtrack to the party late into the evening.
