Brokerage firm Edmiston has shared a first look on board Tankoa Yachts' custom 52-metre superyacht, Spirit.
The Italian-built yacht, previously known as Project Secret, touched the water at the yard's Genoa facilities in July, before making her global debut at the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show in September. She was originally commissioned by a Canadian owner, introduced by Albert McIlroy of Optimusnavis, with construction beginning in 2022. Spirit is currently listed for sale, asking €42,500,000.
The full-custom project was brought to life in collaboration with British design studio Vitruvius Yachts, led by Philippe Briand and Veerle Battiau, who were responsible for her naval architecture and exterior design, while her interiors are courtesy of Ancona-based studio FM Architettura. According to the yard, the yacht’s design represents a new interpretation of luxury, prioritising wellbeing, privacy and a close connection with the water.
Newly unveiled images showcase Spirit's contemporary interiors, which complement the yacht's architectural philosophy via a palette of natural materials, soft textures and "understated detailing". Careful attention has been paid to maximise the natural light on board, designed as such to enhance the feeling of calm while creating open sightlines and strengthening the indoor-outdoor connection.
On board, her main saloon benefits from retractable glass doors that open up the living space onto the aft deck, where lie a bar, tables and sunpads. Past a sculptural floating staircase (the lounge's focal point) is the "waterside dining room": a formal dining space built with a retractable panel that opens for a cool sea breeze during courses and an almost al fresco experience.
Accommodation is for up to 12 guests across six cabins, including a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck that enjoys its own private balcony overlooking the water. A full-beam VIP suite, two double cabins and two twin cabins are located on the lower deck, while a further five cabins provide accommodation for a crew of nine.
Spirit’s defining feature is her wellness-focused beach club, which is centred around a large gym and spa area with an infrared sauna that can also be enjoyed while underway. The space opens directly onto a spacious aft terrace, with a nearby stern plunge pool and fold-down side platforms further enhancing the onboard experience.
The upper deck is arranged for relaxed entertaining, featuring a custom circular teak-and-metal dining table for 12 guests, leading into a second, more relaxed saloon. Above, the sundeck is fitted with a flush hydro pool, loungers and a textured curved bar.
Equipped with a full-hybrid propulsion system by E-motion, Spirit can reach a top speed of 17 knots with a comfortable cruising speed of 15 knots. The yacht also benefited from noise and vibration consultancy by van Cappellen Consultancy to ensure additional comfort while underway.
BOATPro indicates that Tankoa Yachts has 10 yachts currently under development, including its 61-metre full-custom superyacht Project Dream.
