The top timepieces at Harrods Re-Editions fine watch takeover

Cartier Panthere Joueuse Calibre 9918 MC

Tapping into the growing trend of reviving vintage models, the high-end London department store Harrods has collaborated with world-renowned designers and watchmakers to exhibit a collection of vintage-inspired timepieces.

Ten designers have delved into their archives to produce a number of limited edition watches, each inspired by iconic designs that defined their brand and became part of their heritage, all of which will be available to purchase during the showcase.

Cartier Panthere Joueuse Calibre 9918 MC

Utilising a new 9918 MC calibre, a single large diamond ball encircles the dial, serving as the hour hand, while the paw of Cartier’s iconic panther denotes the minutes on this Panther Joueuse model. The panther itself is encrusted with 255 diamonds, with black lacquer spots and emerald eyes. The detailed watch face is surrounded by a white gold case, paved with 320 diamonds and fitted with an elegant white alligator strap.

The Panthere Joueuse Calibre 9918 MC will be exclusive to Harrods throughout July 2017 priced at £157,000.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Duetto Jewellery

In the 86 years since the original design was launched, the Reverso has become Jaeger-LeCoultre’s most iconic model. Inspired by the original ladies’ Reverso cocktail watches of the 1920s and 30s, this pink gold timepiece embodies Art Deco elegance and femininity.

Limited to only 8 pieces globally, the Reverso Duetto Jewellery will be exclusive to Harrods from July 2017 – September 2017 priced at £54,000.

Richard Mille RM 50-03 McLaren F1

The limited edition RM 50-03 McLaren was produced in collaboration with the McLaren F1 racing team to celebrate the start of a ten-year relationship between the watchmaker and motorsports team.

The RM 50-03 is the first wristwatch made from Graph TPT, a recently developed, ultra light material. The entire piece, including strap, weighs less that 40 grams making it the lightest mechanical chronograph ever made.

The RM 50-03 McLaren F1 is exclusive to Harrods throughout July 2017 priced at £996,500.

Roger Dubuis Knights of the Round Table III

Roger Dubuis watches are known for being bold and complicated and this intricate timepiece is certainly in line with the brand’s anti-conformist spirit.

This exclusive limited edition is inspired by the Excalibur 2005 collection and the legend of King Arthur. The dial features a black engraved jade table with bronze detailing and individually sculpted knights with a self-winding mechanical calibre, finely adjusted in six positions.

Only 28 of these watches have been made and will be available exclusively from Harrods throughout the exhibition with price on application.

Hublot Classic Fusion Racing Grey

Inspired by the avant-garde designs that were first launched by the company in the early 1980s, three special editions of the Hublot Classic Fusion will be available during the Re-Editions exhibition. The basic model comes with a grey sunray dial and a polished titanium case while chronograph and diamond-set variations will also be on display.

All three Hublot Classic Fusion Racing Grey models will be available at Harrods as a global exclusive priced from £7,600- £10,200.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon

Inspired by the Royal Oak 1972 collection, the Skeleton Tourbillion Offshore combines Audemars Piguet’s signature masculine design and large proportions with hand finished decoration and intricate engineering. The case in brushed 18-carat yellow gold, which contrasts with the rubber strap, lending the opulent watch a rugged edge.

The yellow gold limited edition watch will be available exclusively to Harrods in the UK priced at £257,000
