AJ believes that the yachting community has the means to get involved and make the necessary changes when it comes to use of plastic, but needs to become a driving force and lead by example.
“We shouldn’t give our business to companies that are not environmentally friendly. For the yachting industry, speak to marinas and find out their recycling procedures, then remind them how much marina fees are and that maybe another marina ‘up the road’ has a better eco-program and the yacht might think about going there next time.”
