Singer Marc Anthony - best known as the ex-husband of Jennifer Lopez - demonstrated that you can mix work and pleasure when he shared this snap from a superyacht photoshoot on Instagram. The shoot took place on board the 36.5 metre Double Shot which was docked in Biscayne Bay ahead of the  Art Basel Miami Beach fair in December.

Australian model Ashley Hart and television presenter Sonia Kruger hopped on to one of Sydney's  perfect party yachts to celebrate the close of Oprah Winfrey's tour of Australia in December. The pair enjoyed time sailing around Sydney harbour and, despite the clouds, proved that you don't need perfect weather to enjoy spending time on a yacht.

Husband and wife team Jennifer Hawkins and Jake Wall became the latest  models spotted on superyachts as they posed aboard a luxury vessel to launch their new tequila range, Sesión Premium Tequila, in December. The Australian beauty queen and former Miss Universe then joined her husband in hosting a star-studded bash at the riverside location in Sydney.

Despite clearly enjoying his  luxury yacht charter in Spain while it was happening, British singer Ed Sheeran revealed that he may have had a little too much fun and required surgery after bursting his ear drum while jumping off the yacht. Sheeran chartered the luxury yacht to celebrate the birthday of three friends and says, despite the incident, he enjoyed himself so much he would definitely spend time on a yacht again.

However, Sheeran is not the first star to fall foul of this popular yachting pastime. Footballer Memphis Depay, one of many  sports stars spotted on luxury yacht vacations, posted a video showing that his diving skills left much to be desired while on holiday this summer.
