Brunelleschi Castle, Tuscany

Always fancied being part of the European landed gentry? The new owner of Brunelleschi Castle, an incredible 15th century estate in Tuscany, will become just that. Designed by architect Filippo Brunelleschi, who is also responsible for the famous dome on Florence's cathedral, the estate was built for the noble Pucci family in 1424 and features a castle spanning 35,000 square metres along with 1,200 hectares of working vineyards, forests, olive groves and meadows, 25 farmhouses and hamlet with an 18th century villa and chapel.

Throughout its illustrious history the castle has played host to three Popes - Leo X, Clement VII and Paul III Farnese - as well as royalty including King Victor Emmanuel III of Italy, Lorenzo the Magnificent and Grand Duke Ferdinand III of Tuscany. Its new owner will find it impeccably preserved with highlights including a grand ballroom that can seat 180, an original Renaissance-style courtyard, frescoed halls, moats, turrets, two lakes and a private chapel.

Brunelleschi Castle is listed for sale with Lionard Luxury Real Estate with price on application.
