Antigua’s Half Moon Bay, less than eight nautical miles from the yachting hotspot of English Harbour, has revealed a first glimpse of the style of its 25 Rosewood branded residences.
Sitting alongside the new Rosewood Half Moon Bay hotel, the two to five-bedroom residences have been designed by Studio Piet Boon with prices between $4 and $15 million. The turnkey villas have been designed to blend indoor and outdoor living, with folding glass doors allowing light to flood into the properties. Larger villas will have the option of adding additional conveniences such a home gym, media room and office. Each residence comes with a private outdoor space and the four-bedroom homes also offer direct access to Half Moon Bay’s coral sands.
Studio Piet Boon has used natural materials and earthy neutral tones with pops of colour throughout the interiors to make the most of the surrounding scenery. “When designing Half Moon Bay Antigua, we were compelled to create an experience that connected with the location,” said Piet Boon. “Each Rosewood Residence blends modestly into the topography connecting the exterior with the interior as they move down the hillside to the bay.”
The new Rosewood hotel is set to open in 2022 and as well as 47-pavillion style suites will also feature a spa and signature restaurant. Estate residences will be able to make use of the resort’s facilities and services. Residences can also be added to the rental programme. William Anderson, CEO of Half Moon Bay, believes this level of service is “set to redefine luxury in the Caribbean”
“Rosewood Residences are housed on a spectacular setting, with stunning views of the coral sand beach, while the topography of the land creates natural privacy,” he said. “Residents will be able to enjoy the incredible hospitality, amenities and soft programming. Rosewood Half Moon Bay, ensuring our owners and their guests will be provided with an exceptional experience that you won’t be able to get anywhere else in the world.”
Sitting on 132 acres those seeking a more individual property also have the opportunity to purchase estate plots and design their own home. The crown jewel estate, which was previously owned by the Mellon family, is perched on a dramatic cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea and is the only location of its kind in the region. Estate parcels are available from $6 million.
