Here's how the 50m EIV transforms into the ultimate party yacht

EIV was built with entertainment at its very core. Commissioned by an American owner looking to cruise the Bahamas with family and friends in tow, the 49 metre custom superyacht is one of three new launches from shipyard Rossinavi, offering the perfect balance of Italian flair and American "oomph".

EIV has the same sportive appeal as her award-winning big sister, the 63 metre Utopia IV, with racy exterior details and a slender silhouette. Her interior is a peaceful oasis and a picture of understated elegance, paired with a state-of-the-art tech set up to keep guests entertained both inside and out. For this, Rossinavi enlisted the expertise of leading audio-visual technicians Videoworks who were tasked with creating the AV, lighting and IT systems on board.

Rossinavi and Videoworks first teamed up on the lauded 70 metre Numptia (now High Power III) which scooped a World Superyacht Award for its intelligent interior design, and the pair has renewed its winning partnership with Rossinavi's EIV and also the recently launched LEL.

As the sun sets and guests retreat indoors for the evening, the upper saloon transforms into a cinema lounge, equipped with an impressive 100-inch screen and a Sony 4k projector that disappear into the ceiling when not in use. The entertainment system is bolstered by Kaleidescape 4K video on demand, Apple TV, Satellite, Kartina IP TV, and airplay for the complete audio-visual package. The owners’ cabin also features a 4K screen, hidden by a special mirror to conceal it from view.

Alternatively, for those looking to crank it up a notch after sundown, users can flick the system into "Party Mode", which allows the same music source to be played in all the shared spaces and even throughout the accommodations.

The entire AV-IT system is based on the philosophy of a centralised system for space saving, removing unnecessary racks and cabling systems from guest spaces, and ease of use for both guests and crew. All the main electronics are installed in just three central, 42-rack cabinets, that stand approximately two metres high, which makes installation and maintenance a breeze.

Meanwhile, the security system is comprised of motion alarms, eight high-resolution IP cameras, two control stations and a network recorder for encrypting and archiving recorded data. For crew, two wall-mounted touchscreens located in the crew mess and pantry allow full audio control of the common areas throughout the yacht - Party Mode included - as well as a comprehensive view of the rack temperatures with a safety alarm.

“Superyachts are the perfect way to travel the world," says Rossinavi COO Federico Rossi, "so it’s important not only to install top-quality technological components but to create a group able to provide assistance and support anywhere in the world. A synergy we can offer, thanks to Videoworks and their partners.”

With over 700 projects completed to date, EIV is just the latest addition to Videoworks’ bourgeoning portfolio.
