The rebuilt 25.15-metre Oyster sailing yacht Champagne Hippy has been sold in a deal with Sean McCarter of Northrop & Johnson and Tom Benson of Seymour Yachts representing the seller and Thomas Benson of Seymour Yachts representing the buyer.
Originally named Polina Star III, the yacht was delivered in 2014 by British yard Oyster Yachts with naval architecture by Humphreys Yacht Design and interiors by Oyster Design. After a hull delamination caused her to sink in 2015, she was rebuilt by Boats.co.uk and relaunched in 2019, receiving an extensive refit in 2022.
Inside, Champagne Hippy’s main saloon hosts a dining area for eight via built-in seating alongside a fully equipped, open-style galley. Throughout her airy interiors, plentiful natural light is provided via ample large windows.
The sailing yacht accommodates eight guests in four en suite cabins, maintaining the classic layout of the popular Oyster 82 series.
The cabins comprise one master cabin aft with a free-standing bed, office area and ensuite, one twin room, one bunk room and a double cabin located in the bow.
Moving on deck, an al fresco dining table for up to eight guests provides panoramic views and is located aft within the cockpit. Elsewhere, the bow offers freestanding deck furniture.
One of the yacht's defining features is her extended transom, specified as an optional upgrade during construction. This creates a significantly larger aft deck while providing an expansive beach club and storage area, easily accessed via the hydraulic passerelle or internal deck steps.
Her protected cockpit is arranged with separate guest and crew areas, allowing comfortable outdoor dining and relaxation while maintaining efficient sail handling. Biminis and a dodger provide additional shelter for extended cruising in a variety of conditions.
With a 3.5-metre draught and a reputation for covering 250-nautical-mile days under sail, Champagne Hippy has demonstrated real-world performance, including completing the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers in just 15 days, finishing 13th overall and becoming the first Oyster to cross the finish line.
When under power, her twin Cummins diesel engines provide a top speed of 12 knots and a cruising speed of eight knots.
Champagne Hippy was last asking €3,495,000.
