The 52 metre motor yacht Seahorse, listed for sale by Burgess, has been sold with KK Superyachts in Monaco introducing the buyer.
Built in steel and aluminium to Lloyds class and delivered in 1999 as Tigre d’Or , this superyacht was one of eight exceptional sisterships built by the Dutch pedigree shipyard Amels, ranging in size from 50m to 52m, with interior design and exterior styling by Terence Disdale on all but one of the series.
Refurbished in 2007, she has a new interior by H2 Design accommodating 12 guests in six cabins including a master suite, two doubles and three twins, all with en suite facilities. Twin 1,200hp Cummins engines give her a cruising speed of 12 knots and a maximum speed of 14 knots.
The collaboration of Burgess, Amels and Disdale on the Tigre _d'Or _series was an important benchmark in initiating the concept of the "semi-custom" platform for large yachts worldwide, which made new builds more accessible to a wider audience and has now evolved into an industry yardstick.
