55m superyacht Turquoise sold
by Malcolm Maclean
The 55.4 metre motor yacht Turquoise, listed for sale with Stuart Larsen and Georges Bourgoignie at Fraser, has been sold with the buyer introduced by Katya and Frank Grzeszczak at IYC.
Turquoise was delivered by Turkey’s Proteksan-Turquoise yard in 2011 and had a complete interior refit in 2014 with H2 Yacht Design refreshing her look. With naval architecture and styling by Dubois, this steel and aluminium superyacht offers comfortable cruising for up to 12 guests.
Turquoise's cool and modern interior features a spectacular full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck, along with an equally opulent VIP suite. Four roomy en suite guest cabins, three doubles and a twin, are arranged around a central staircase and lobby.
Her spacious saloon and 12-seat formal dining table on the main deck are served by a professionally appointed galley and pantry on the port side. Upstairs, a relaxing private upper saloon comes complete with its own pantry — not to mention a baby grand piano — and leads out onto a secluded, alfresco dining area. A finalist at the 2012 World Superyacht Awards, Turquoise was featured in the 25th edition of The Superyachts.
Her exterior combines a purposeful sheer and business-like vertical windscreen with a long, elegant, seagoing bow. Two 1,500hp Caterpillar engines give her a maximum speed of 17 knots and a 5,500 mile range at 12 knots giving her a transoceanic capability.
Turquoise was asking $22,500,000.
