The 41 metre fast sloop Destination, which was designed by Ed Dubois and built by Alloy Yachts in New Zealand, is new to the market with Northrop & Johnson's Ann Avery.
Delivered MCA-compliant in 2001, her 20-year ABS survey was completed in 2021 following a major $4 million refit in 2020. Upgrades included transforming her interior with the re-veneer of the upper saloon-pilothouse bulkheads, using wood from the original stock. Headlinings, floorings and soft furnishings were also all replaced.
The all-aluminium yacht for sale was also repainted, a major rig survey completed and the rig upgraded, while her engine, generators and systems were refurbished or replaced as necessary. Her eight-year-old teak decks have also recently been thoroughly recaulked.
Destination's interior includes a panoramic upper saloon-pilothouse, with a lounge area with a deep sofa, custom bar and a spacious dining table for eight. Natural light floods into this area through the trademark Dubois wraparound, raked windscreen, and flows down into her main saloon allowing for a light and bright ambience.
Her main saloon is the dedicated lounging and socializing hub of the yacht, with a large sofa and chairs complemented by a handcrafted coffee table. The interior of this yacht for sale is finished in elegant flame mahogany, lacquered to a high gloss finish. This is balanced with light-coloured fabrics and soft textures.
Seven to eight guests are accommodated in Destination's four elegant cabins. The master suite is full-beam with a king-size bed, plenty of storage and a cozy daybed area. There are two identical staterooms forward, each with centreline queen-size beds and an additional smaller cabin with a single and a Pullman berth. All cabins have en-suite bathrooms.
Destination’s cockpit is accessed from the aft deck between the twin helm stations. To one side is a large lounging sofa and to the other a settee and chairs surround a large table, perfect for alfresco dining. A Bimini covers the cockpit and fold-up clear curtains allow the breeze when desired and can be pulled down to protect from inclement weather.
A built-in passerelle and an opening transom with a shower and dimmable lighting, provide a platform for tender and water access. One of Destination’s most notable features is her completely custom second boarding platform to starboard midships. Part of the hull swings down to provide a safe and stable platform for tender access or watersports.
800hp of Caterpillar engine provides for a 14-knot top speed and 2,800 nautical mile range cruising at up to 12 knots.
Destination's asking price is $13,500,000.
