News from Wes Sanford and Kevin Merrigan at Northrop & Johnson that they’ve closed on the sale of the 39.62m motor yacht Stellar with Mack and Chris Carroll at Atlantic Yacht & Ship representing the buyer.

Built by US superyacht yard Westport as one of its 130' series to a design by William Garden, Stellar was launched in 2008 and has never been chartered. The main saloon features raised panel joinery in sapele and mahogany woods along with large settees, occasional chairs and cocktail tables. The main saloon and dining area with seating for eight guests have large windows giving unobstructed views of the sea. Another popular area is the skylounge with comfortable seating, an office desk, bar and ice maker plus a television and entertainment centre.

Stellar's 10 guests are accommodated in five staterooms. The master suite has a king size bed with a desk and walk in wardrobes. Two VIP staterooms to port and starboard have wardrobes while two twin cabins also come with wardrobes. All staterooms have full en suite bathroom facilities.

Twin 2,735hp MTU engines give her a cruising speed of 20 knots and they have extended warranties for three years or 2,000 more hours. Stellar is fitted with Naiad at anchor stabilisers for added comfort.

Stellar was asking $12,995,000.
