The 38.1 metre motor yacht Iron Man, jointly listed for sale by John Cohen at Merle Wood & Associates and Oscar Romano at Benetti, has been sold to a direct client.
Designed by Stefano Righini, Iron Man was built in GRP by Italian yard Benetti to RINA class and delivered in 2015 as the first in the yard’s Vivace 125 series. Her interior, by Alfred Karram Jr, has a masculine mix of glass, dark grey hues and grey wood, accommodating up to ten guests in five cabins. These consist of a main deck master suite, two VIP suites and two twins. All cabins have entertainment centres, television screens and en-suite bathroom facilities while a further four cabins can sleep up to eight crewmembers.
The main saloon is carpeted and has a cherry wood border, and there are Roman shades and decorative curtains on the windows. On the starboard side are four settees, each with a coffee table while to port is a bar, ice cooler and sink flanked by an entertainment centre. Forward is the formal dining area with ten leather chairs grouped around a rectangular table finished in cherry wood and wenge.
Sliding glass and stainless steel doors give access to the aft deck furnished with a built-in upholstered sofa and a fixed teak table on stainless steel pedestal bases to host up to ten guests for al fresco entertaining and dining. The full-size door of the garage on the transom is operated hydraulically and converts into a wide teak swimming platform with small cleats for the tender.
Twin 2,636hp MTU diesel engines give her a range of 1,250 nautical miles at 12 knots.
Iron Man was asking $15,750,000.
