The 34.5-metre Benetti motor yacht Star of the Sea has received an $800,000 price drop to her sales listing with John Jacobi of Fraser.
Originally delivered from the Italian yard in 1983, which also designed her in-house, the "vintage" steel and aluminium yacht was refitted in 2016 and completed a $1,000,000+ refit in 2024. Her brokers noted that after two decades of ownership, Solafide's current owner is ready to pass her on to the "next fortunate steward of her legacy."
Accommodation on board is for an owner's party of 12 across six cabins – a feature unique for this model – which has assisted her with a "strong charter history".
Features pointed out by the broker include her sky lounge and a top deck Jacuzzi as well as her "original, luxurious Italian interior that exudes the charm and grandeur of the golden age of yachting".
The master cabin is positioned forward on the main deck, where lies the formal dining room that can be opened or closed off from the main saloon aft with sliding doors. The feel on board is traditional, with gloss-varnished woodwork brightened by colourful upholstery throughout.
During her refit, works included essential plate updates, new thru-hull valves, a bow thruster replacement and fresh carpeting throughout.
The 219GT BV-classed yacht for sale is powered by twin 365hp Caterpillar diesel engines, giving her a top speed of 10 knots and range of 4,000 nautical miles at her cruising speed of eight knots.
Star of the Sea is now asking $1,495,000. She is not available for sale or charter to US residents while in US waters.
