The 39.6 metre explorer yacht Scout II has been listed for sale by Stuart Larsen at Fraser.
Built in steel by Brooke Yachts in the UK to a design by Terence Disdale and launched in 1993, Scout II had refits in 2000 and 2002 with a full mechanical overhaul including completion of Lloyds classification special surveys in 2014. She was then lengthened and entirely rebuilt and re-equipped with high-tech engineering and state-of-the-art equipment between 2016 and 2018.
Her interior, also designed by Terence Disdale features a large saloon with panelling in limed teak, an oatmeal coloured carpet, home cinema entertainment system, bar and a separate dining area.
The classically elegant interior provides accommodation for nine guests in four large cabins consisting of a master suite, VIP suite and two doubles, all with entertainment centres, flatscreen television sets and full en suite bathroom facilities. There is also an owners’ study and sky lounge while the lower deck features a six-person sauna on this yacht for sale.
For outdoor entertainment, the upper deck is the place to go, where guests can relax and sunbathe during the day and dine al fresco at the large table for 12 in the evenings. Also on this deck are a Jacuzzi spa tub, sunbathing areas, a day head and exercise equipment.
Scout II offers generous interior volumes and huge deck spaces, while a 4,200 nautical mile range, courtesy of twin 3408TA Caterpillar engines, gives her true global cruising ability. For added comfort and safety, new Quantum zero speed stabilisers were fitted in 2017.
Lying in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Scout II is asking $12,900,000.
