The 34 metre Broward motor yacht Independence 3 has been listed for sale by John Slate at Northrop & Johnson.
Built in aluminium by US yard Broward Marine, she was delivered in 1997 and had a comprehensive refit in 2017, including having her hull sand blasted and repainted. Patrick Knowles did her interior in his inimitable style, using oak joinery throughout, and she accommodates eight guests in four cabins consisting of a master suite, VIP suite, a double and a twin, all with entertainment centres, flat screen televisions and full en suite bathroom facilities.
The open plan saloon has oversized windows letting the daylight flood in and is fitted with a large settee, occasional chairs, a writing table, a wet bar with a fridge and an entertainment centre including a flat screen HD television on a rise and fall mechanism. Forward is a formal dining area with seating for eight guests on custom upholstered rattan chairs. Further forward still is a fully equipped galley complete with an L-shaped settee for sociable breakfasts and daytime snacks.
Outdoors, the large aft deck has upholstered built in seating, a table and a bar, perfect for al fresco entertaining and dining. The flybridge offers a wet bar with a fridge and ice maker, sun pads and L-shaped seating for dining under the stars in total comfort.
Twin 1,350hp Caterpillar diesel engines give her a cruising speed of 17 knots and a top speed of 20 knots.
