A new joint central agency has been announced on the 74.5-metre motor yacht Zeus, now listed for sale with Camilla Maurizio and Manuele Thiella of Royal Yacht International, Michel Chryssicopoulos of IYC and Merle A. Wood of Merle Wood & Associates. She will be on display at the Monaco Yacht Show this year.
Returning to the market for the first time in almost a decade, Manuele Thiella, CEO of Royal Yacht International, noted that "Zeus is far more than a yacht; she is an important part of modern yachting history. Very few yachts possess this combination of pedigree, design, performance and cultural significance."
Zeus was built with a steel hull and GRP superstructure by German yard Blohm + Voss to a design by Martin Francis and delivered in 1991. Her most recent refit was completed in 2014, which saw her interior refreshed and the completion of her Lloyd's Register 20 year special survey.
Zeus was revolutionary when launched and remains unmistakable today. Her long, powerful profile and three tiers of dramatically curved convex windows created a design language unlike anything seen before, and one that has never been replicated.
Her interiors are spacious and open, with multiple living areas offering a different atmosphere across each deck. The main saloon is vast and includes a selection of settees and armchairs, coffee tables and a bar. The rich leatherwork, marble and granite implemented throughout the interiors retain the distinctive character of her original design.
At 1,150GT, Zeus offers accommodation for 15 guests in six en suite cabins consisting of an owner's suite taking up the entire upper deck with a private lounge and terrace, a VIP suite and four double cabins on the main deck. Each cabin is individually named after a Greek god, adding a distinctive detail that reflects her identity.
The owner’s suite provides a particularly generous private retreat, complete with his-and-hers bathrooms featuring both a bathtub and shower, a walk-in wardrobe and a discreet private workspace. Meanwhile, there are quarters for 21 crew.
Al fresco living is in abundance on Zeus, with a main deck aft offering a spacious area for sunbathing or sports, able to be transformed for basketball, boxing, yoga or private workout sessions.
Up a level, the owner's deck saloon offers an alternative lounging area for a more intimate party, benefiting from the large glass doors opening out onto the owner's deck. Two separate tables can be brought together to create one larger setting for al fresco dining, offering flexibility when hosting.
Up top, the "panodeck" hosts another saloon with a geometric-design carpet and soft furnishings, as well as a fully equipped gym.
The yacht for sale reaches a maximum speed of 35 knots, while maintaining an impressive cruising speed of 18 knots. Her innovative triple-waterjet propulsion and specially developed hydrofoil were groundbreaking elements of the original design, engineered to deliver exceptional performance across both cruising and high-speed operation.
Zeus is asking €77,000,000. She joins the lineup in Monaco this year as one of the most expensive yachts on display.
