32m fishing-focused CDM explorer Uptight sold and renamed Tropa

The 32.3-metre Cantiere delle Marche (CDM) Darwin 106 explorer yacht Uptight has been sold in a deal between Alex G. Clarke of Denison Yachting, who represented the seller, and Paul Harkness of Alexander Marine, who introduced the buyer. Following her sale, the yacht has been renamed Tropa.

Tropa will now join the Denison charter and yacht management fleet, available for charters in the Bahamas during the upcoming winter season.

Tropa was last asking $13,500,000

Delivered in 2022, the 32.3-metre was originally built for an American owner as a mothership to his custom sportfishing fleet. Developed from CDM's popular Darwin 102 model, the Darwin 106 features a custom addition of an aft cockpit for improved access to the water.

For Tropa, this area was modified to include a central fishing station with screwless rod holders, flush floor tanks for live bait and additional refrigeration and freezer space in the beach club.

The yacht's design comes from Italian firm Hydro Tec and features the series' distinctive muscular body with a prominent bow and tapered aft decks. This hull in particular also boasts a polar belt along the waterline, for added reinforcement while traversing colder regions.

Tropa comfortably sleeps 13 guests in six cabins with the master suite situated on a private upper-level owner's deck. The remaining guest cabins are found on the lower deck, including a full-beam "secondary master" forward. There are three additional cabins for a complement of six crew.

The interiors were completed by Francesco Guida, who incorporated a "sociable country kitchen" at the owner's request that connects to a generous main saloon. Elsewhere, the yacht's sundeck is primed for entertainment with a large Jacuzzi flanked by sunpads, a full bar with a barbecue and a sheltered seating area.

The explorer is powered by twin Caterpillar C18 Acert 670hp engines for a top speed of 13 knots, cruising speed of 11 knots and a transoceanic range of 4,500 nautical miles.

Tropa was last asking $13,500,000.
