€950K price drop on CRN motor yacht Wind of Fortune

31 May 2023

The 52.4-metre CRN motor yacht Wind of Fortune has received a near-million-euro price reduction and is offered for sale as an open listing.

Wind of Fortune was originally built for the Emir of Bahrain and delivered by CRN in 1981. A refit under new ownership in 2020 – and again in 2022 – saw the replacement of the teak decks, the reconfiguration of the sundeck and aft deck, an interior facelift and an overhaul of her machinery and technical spaces.

Lying in Athens, Wind of Fortune is now asking €6,950,000

Wind of Fortune features an open stern that serves as an open-air beach club seen on much newer vessels.  The space leads to the main deck aft where striped sofas hug the curve of the bulwarks offering two casual dining spaces for breakfast or coffee. Also on this level is a sit-up bar and service area.

The main saloon was reconfigured during the refit in 2020 but retains the same classic aesthetic with wooden panelling and pale fabrics courtesy of Ralph Lauren. A SONOS sound system was installed and an aquarium was replaced with a 70-inch television.

Other highlights include a formal dining area that occupies its own space on the main deck, and an enclosed aft space on the upper deck that acts as an observation lounge with wraparound windows.

Wind of Fortune once starred in the movie Rush Hour 2 starring Jackie Chan.

Last but not least is the sun deck, which offers various areas for entertaining including a heated Jacuzzi surrounded by a seating area and built-in upholstered chaises all the way aft for enjoying the sun to the fullest.

Wind of Fortune sleeps up to 16 guests in seven cabins including a master suite, a  VIP cabin and five additional twin cabins, all with en suite bathroom facilities.

She is a proven, economical passage-making charter yacht with six transatlantic crossings, Caribbean and Bahamas cruising plus a winter cruise from Europe to Taiwan and back. Power comes from twin Mirrlees Blackstone ESL8 MK 1 engines delivering a maximum speed of 14.5 knots, a cruising speed of 12.5 knots and a range of 5,000 nautical miles.

Lying in Athens, Wind of Fortune is now asking €6,950,000.
