After months in the doldrums can the brokerage market finally be on the turn? Now I hear that Stuart Larsen in the Fort Lauderdale office of Fraser Yachts acted for the buyer in the recent sale of the 48.5m sailing yacht Georgia, with Bill Sanderson of Camper & Nicholsons representing the seller. This comes hard on the heels of reporting Jody O'Brien, in the same Fraser office, selling the new 40m motoryacht Allogante just last week_._ Both boats were built by Alloy Yachts, but there all resemblance ends. Launched in 2000 and refitted in 2008, Georgia was the largest sloop in the world when built and easily accommodates 10 guests. The new owners will cruise the Eastern Mediterranean this summer before heading for the South Pacific via Cape Horn. The asking price for Georgia was $26.5 million.
