Gloria sold by Northrop and Johnson & Ardell

2 July 2009 • Written by Malcolm MacLean

I call Ron Rickard in the Fort Lauderdale office of Ardell and he confirms that Wallace Donker in the same office completed the sale of the 38.4m Jongert/Lowland Gloria yesterday, with Michael Nethersole of Northrop and Johnson as the buying broker. Her steel hull was built by Jongert in 1986 while the fit out was completed by Holland's Lowland Yachts.

Her new British owner is an experienced yachtsman who plans to cruise her in the Mediterranean this summer and in the Caribbean next winter. Refitted in 2002 and 2006, Gloria accommodates 10 guests in five staterooms and was on the market at €5.5 million.
