International Yacht Collection broker John Ciullo dies

30 September 2012 • Written by Malcolm MacLean

Sadly, I have to report the death of IYC broker John Ciullo on Saturday, September 29, the day before his 55th birthday.

John had been working as a broker and special projects manager for International Yacht Collection in Fort Lauderdale at the time of his death. His career included stints as a sailing and motor yacht captain, as a manager at International Yacht Register, a broker at Platinum Yacht Collection, comptroller at The Sacks Group, and as a pre-eminent yacht manager at Bob Saxon Associates when yacht management was in its infancy.

Says Bob Saxon, President of IYC, ‘The industry has lost a good man, a consummate professional and a true gentleman. John was universally admired and liked. Those who knew John as a friend and colleague included representation from literally every segment of the international yachting scene. He will be sorely missed.’

A memorial service will be held this coming Saturday.
