Prices of pre-owned superyachts continue to tumble as Edmiston and Fraser Yachts announce significant price reductions. William Christie in Edmiston and Company’s London office tells us that the classic yacht Ilona of Kylesku has a new, reduced price and a new currency. From an original price of €3.25 million, she has come down to £2 million, considerably less that the cost of her recent refit. Built in 1907 by James Armour & Sons, she was bought in 2001 by the Duke of Westminster who immediately set about restoring her to her pristine state and she always stood out at every marina, surrounded by modern identikit motor yachts. At 28.04m LOA, she accommodates five guests in three cabins. Over in the Monaco office of Fraser Yachts, Richard Earp announces that the 46.3m sailing yacht Lulworth has had a €3 million price reduction, from €14.95 million to €11.95 million. Built by White in 1920 and refitted in 2006, she sleeps eight guests.
