Amels has long been one of my favourite yards and, as for designers, I worship at the feet of Terence Disdale. Now Merle Wood and Peter Croke of Merle Wood & Associates in Fort Lauderdale have signed the 2007-built 64.5m Amels motor yacht My Shanti for sale. She’s the 12th Amels motor yacht created to a Disdale design, built for owners who owned a 50m Disdale-designed Amels but wanted a yacht on a larger, grander scale. As the Disdale office says: “They wanted a boat filled with everything they could need, with six cabins instead of the usual four.” In the same office John Cohen has listed Azimut’s 30.4m Sofia S for sale.
