A new-build 55 metre Amels 180 Limited Edition motor yacht has been sold by Gary Wright and Will Christie at Y.CO.

As is the case of all the yachts in the Limited Edition series, exterior design is by Tim Heywood while the owner’s choice of interior designer has not been revealed. Delivery is scheduled for Spring 2017.

Features of the Amels 180 include an owner’s suite with a folding sea balcony and the main saloon has port and starboard folding bulwarks, bringing the outdoors in. Another highlight is the vast top deck at 25 metres long and covering 155 square metres, making a very strong claim to be the largest sun deck on any 55 metre yacht

Amels Managing Director Rob Luijendijk states, “The continuing success of the Amels 180 and the whole 55 to 83-metre Limited Editions range has really continued unabated. We’re seeing strong interest in our offer from the Middle East, Latin America and renewed interest from Russia. Exchange rates have played a role with our clients in the US, but we believe the key to our success is our commitment to continuously improve, listen to owner feedback and strive for perfection.”

In September 2005 Amels unveiled the Limited Editions concept at the Monaco Yacht Show. In the 10 years since then, the yard has built more than 20 Limited Editions yachts, completing each yacht on schedule as promised.
