Northrop & Johnson sells sailing yacht Orion with Vripack

Chuck MacMahon at Northrop & Johnson tells me he acted for the seller and colleague Joost Goverts the buyer in yesterday's sale of the 27.43m sailing yacht Orion, a joint listing with Vripack.

Built by Catana in 2008 for an experienced catamaran yachtsman, she’s the largest yacht so far from this highly respected builder.

Orion sleeps eight guests in four staterooms and up to four crew in two cabins. The interior panelling and cabinetry is built in the finest French cherrywood and almost all of this impeccable carpentry is foam cored for lightweight strength and stability.

Orion was asking $4.9 million.
