Now we report the first sale of March as Michael Mahan and Leonce Richard at Worth Avenue Yachts close on the sale of the 24.3m motor yacht Blue Moon with Catherine Craig at O'Brien Yachts representing the buyer.

Built by Hatteras, Blue Moon was launched in 2007 and has unusual volumes for her size including a large aft deck with al fresco dining for seven guests. A full beam main saloon has a bar to starboard and seating to port with a 50 inch pop-up television screen while forward of this is a formal dining area seating six guests around an oval dining table with custom inlays. On the bridge deck, aft of the helm station, are lounges to port and starboard complemented by a full wet bar, fridge, ice maker and a pop-up flat screen television.

Accommodation is for eight guests in four staterooms. The master suite is full beam and features six large windows and there is a VIP stateroom, a double and twin cabin. All staterooms have en suite bathrooms. Blue Moon has modified V-hull design, and twin 1,650hp Caterpillar engines power her to a cruising speed of 21 knots and a maximum speed of 25 knots.

Blue Moon was asking $2,999,000.
