A call to Bernie Challis at Van Der Vliet Quality Yachts brings news of a €500,000 price cut to a 40m motor yacht currently under construction at Ocean Pacifico Services in the Phillippines.

Part of the Ocean Pacifico 4000 range, her steel hull and aluminium superstructure is based on a successful Dutch design. She is being built to LLoyds class and MCA compliant using high-quality European components, and will accommodate 10 guests in 5 cabins.

Her new asking price is €6.1 million as is, down from €6.6 million, with an estimated budget of €2.5 million needed to complete the yacht. As Bernie comments, this is considerably lower than her replacement cost, and with six months worth of work still to be carried out, much can still be decided by the new owner.
