The 25 metre sailing yacht Bare Necessities has been sold by Oyster Brokerage in an in-house deal.
Built in GRP by UK yard Oyster Marine, Bare Necessities was delivered in 2004 as the very first Oyster 82 to be built. She represents a very advanced Oyster, the majority of her electronic equipment being typical of much larger vessels. Her powerful cutter rig with carbon Smart boom and hydraulic furlers provides exceptional performance with minimum effort.
She boasts the most sophisticated electronics and navigation equipment of any yacht of her size currently in the UK and has a total of 17 computers feeding 20 LCD screens inside and outside the yacht with everything from radar, chart, wind speed to DVD movies and television for entertainment as well as air conditioning throughout.
Below, her elegant interior with maple wood joinery provides spacious accommodation for six guests in three cabins, while separate accommodation for crew is provided forward. Additional berths are available in the form of a sofa berth and two Pullman berths.
She has been immaculately maintained, with equipment constantly upgraded regardless of cost, by the same professional and fastidious skipper who co-supervised her build.
Bare Necessities was asking £1,850,000.
