Price cut on Hatteras motor yacht Easy Rider
by Malcolm Maclean
The 35.5 metre tri-deck motor yacht Easy Rider, listed for sale by Mike McCarthy at HMY Yachts, has had a $450,000 price reduction.
Built in GRP by US yard Hatteras to a design by Jack Hargrave, she was delivered in 1997 and fully refitted in 2014. The refit saw her saloon refreshed with new designer furniture, an upgraded audio system and electronics plus updates to her engine room. Externally, her hull was sand blasted and repainted, bringing her to as-new condition.
A very popular yacht on the charter circuit, she has an interior by Dawn Moffitt accommodating eight guests in four cabins consisting of a full-beam master suite with a king sized bed, two VIP suites with queen sized beds and a twin, all with audio systems, satellite television and full en-suite bathroom facilities.
A classic interior panelled in high gloss Sapele mahogany wood in her main saloon welcomes guests to her lounge area with comfortable seating, a full bar with fridge and icemaker, and an entertainment centre, while forward lies a formal dining room seating eight guests.
The impressive sky lounge is an excellent space in which to relax, with an L-shaped settee, bar, fridge and ice maker plus an entertainment centre featuring a 40-inch HD television screen.
Deck areas on this yacht for sale are extensive, featuring a covered aft deck, walk-around side decks and an open sun deck with a range of loungers.
Three 1,200hp Caterpillar engines give her a cruising speed of 14 knots topping out at 17 knots.
Lying in Florida, Easy Rider is now asking $3,375,000.
