A call to Fraser Yachts in Monaco brings confirmation that Richard Earp's central listing, the 55.17m motor yacht Southern Cross III, has had a €2 million price cut.

She was built by Japan's Nishi Zosen yard in 1986 to a design by Sterling Yachts and Jon Bannenberg, instantly one of the best known and easily recognised superyachts in the world. Refitted in 2008, she's ABS classed and MCA compliant and her interior, designed to impress, has a grandeur that stuns newcomers. Accommodating up to 15 guests in a master, four spacious double suites and two additional guest cabins, her two MTU 4,600hp turbocharged diesel engines give her a cruising speed of 18 knots. Southern Cross III is now asking €10 million.
