Sailing yacht Scheherazade now for sale at Edmiston with price drop

11 July 2012 • Written by Malcolm MacLean

Alex Busher at Edmiston & Company tells me he's now taken over the central listing for sale of the 47.15m sailing yacht Scheherazade with a $4 million price cut.

Designed by Bruce King, this striking superyacht was built by Hodgdon Yachts in 2003 with a cold moulded hull in wood and epoxy and is Lloyds classed and MCA compliant.

Her elegant interior by Andrew Winch accommodates seven guests in a master and two twin cabins plus a Pullman berth and she has a cruising range of 3,000 nautical miles at 11 knots. She was extensively refitted in the summer of 2011 and Alex says, 'She's so well built she'll be around a lot longer than we will.'
