Alex Busher at Edmiston & Company tells me he's closed on the sale of the 47.15m sailing yacht Scheherazade with Rex Herbert at Sparkman & Stephens bringing the buyer.

Built to a design by Bruce King, this striking yacht was built by Hodgdon Yachts in 2003 with a cold moulded hull in wood and epoxy and is Lloyds classed and MCA compliant.

Her elegant interior by Andrew Winch accommodates seven guests in a master and two twin cabins plus a Pullman berth and under power she has a cruising range of 3,000 nautical miles at 11 knots. She had a full refit in 2011, which included a complete overhaul of her communication and monitoring systems, refurbishment of the galley and staterooms, and a full service of the rigging.

Scheherazade was asking $15.95 million.
